Bad Blogger

I've been a bad blogger. I have not tended to my blog for over a month! I think somehwere in between a crazy work schedule and my arabic finals I shut down. Sometimes you just need to unplug, you know?!


For some reason, I decided to take arabic for "fun" last year. I know, I know - what was I thinking?!  Needless to say - the past year has been quite crazy. However, that is behind me, and now at least I can speak a pretty cool language! I even got to practice my conversation skills with a native arab speaker on the metro a few weeks ago.


In the past few weeks, I have been pretty consumed with work.  The only exception is a little weekend trip to Boston with my boyfriend.  Since he went to Boston College for undergrad I got to see all the hidden treasures of the city! I promtly fell in love and decided that moving there was the only logical thing to do.  My boyfriend was quick to remind me that 9 months out of the year the city hovers around 0 degrees, which made the California girl in me cringe. So for now, DC remains my home. 


On another note - I started my offical marathon training this week.  In October I will be running all 26.2 miles of the Marine Corp Marathon.  Another one of those things I decided to do for "fun".  While I have run a couple 1/2 marathons I have never run a full so I am in for quite a challege!
